Thanks to the non-slip and shock-absorbing NBR Longlife rubber armoring, the glass is resistant to oil, acid and salt water. The binoculars feature a unique floating prism bearing that ensures permanently elastic mounting of the optical parts and the best possible protection against shocks, so that the adjustment remains unchanged in precision over decades. The binoculars are also water pressure-tight to 10 m, have a nitrogen pressure filling to prevent fogging, and can be used in temperatures ranging from -40 to +80 °C.
