Balls and Cones

Balls & Cones are the daytime equivalent to navigational lights, displayed at night time. A motoring cone is a standard signalling device used on sailing vessels to indicate when the boat is under power. It's good practice to use a motoring cone, especially when it's not clear if the boat is sailing or using a motor.  The ball day shape is used to indicate the vessel is at anchor.
