Seamark Nunn is one of the largest outboard engine sales & servicing operations in East Anglia. Our servicing and repair work takes place in our brand-new purpose built workshop at our Felixstowe premises. We also service engines offsite if required.

Typically, an outboard engine should be serviced annually or every 100 hours' use (whichever comes first) to keep it in peak condition and minimise the risk of faults occurring during the boating season.

Autumn is a perfect time of the year to have your engine serviced if you're not intending to use it during the winter months - we can carry out a winterisation process at the same time which helps protect your engine from corrosion in the cold and damp environment.

Portable Engines up to 25HP- Just bring your engine in to us during business hours and we'll get the work carried out by our experienced and manufacturer-trained engineers. No appointment or booking necessary. We'll contact you as soon as your engine is ready for collection.

Larger Engines 30HP+ - Simply phone us on 01394 451000 to book your engine in for service or repair. We also offer computer diagnostics from the major manufacturers' systems. Most servicing and repair work is carried out in our workshops, but we can travel locally to customer locations or marinas to work on your engine - give us a call for a quotation.

What does an Outboard Service Include?

- New spark plug(s)
- New Engine Oil & Oil Filter (4-strokes only)
- New Gearbox Oil
- Drop the gearbox and inspect / replace the water pump impeller
- Check / replace engine anode(s)
- Check Thermostat Operation
- Flush Fuel System and add fuel stabilizer to the tank
- Check ignition / adjust valve clearances if required
- Check propeller
- Computer Diagnostic Check (if applicable)
- Check & adjust Steering System & Remote Control System (if applicable)
