Covid-19 Service Update 12 June 2020 - #BoatingIsBack
Following the recently announced relaxation of certain lockdown rules, our chandlery store will be open again to walk-in customers from Monday 15 June, subject to social distancing measures (see below) and any further guidance or instructions from HM Government. Please note our temporary hours of business are:-
Monday to Friday 10.00am - 4.00pm
Saturday 10.00am - 3.00pm
Sunday & Bank Holidays - CLOSED

Customer Parking
Please park safely on Trimley High Road outside our store.
Please do not attempt to park your car in our boatyard or in the parking spaces in front of our shop windows, as these will be temporarily out of action.

Social Distancing Measures
Please wait in the designated queueing area outside the front of our shop windows, keeping at least 2m apart from other customers while you wait. Please keep the paved area outside our front door clear to allow other customers to leave the chandlery safely at a distance.

We are restricting access to a maximum of 2 customers inside the chandlery at any one time. One of our staff will let you know when you can enter. Please be patient with us at busier times! We respectfully request that customers wear face coverings while inside the chandlery for the protection of our staff and other customers.

If you have arrived to collect an order placed on our website or via telephone, please let one of our staff know while outside, we can fetch the order for you to save you time and having to come inside.

We respectfully request that customers do not touch any items in the chandlery unless they intend to buy them.

If possible, please pay by card (contactless preferred if the transaction is £45 or less). We would prefer that our staff do not have to handle cash. Please note our card machines will be wiped down after each sale.

Website Orders for Delivery
The volume of orders placed on our website have more than doubled since lockdown began. Our team have been working hard to get orders processed and shipped in a timely manner; most orders are delivered with 3-5 working days or sooner.

However, inevitably some orders have taken longer than normal to send out. Certain products have proved challenging to re-stock, as some of our suppliers have struggled to cope with the demand of such a huge increase in online sales. Similarly, some delivery partners (especially Royal Mail) are experiencing delays. Please bear with us, we are doing everything we can to provide the best level of service possible.

Website Orders for Collect from Shop / Click & Collect
For local customers, this is the best way to buy from us. Your order will be processed as quickly as possible and we will contact you as soon as it is ready to collect.

Please do not travel to collect your order unless we have contacted you first. If we don’t have the item you ordered in stock, you could have a wasted journey!

When collecting your order, there is no need to come inside the chandlery, we will pass your order to you outside, to minimise risk to customers and staff.

Outboard Engine Servicing & Repairs
Our outboard engine workshop is back up and running, but we are already very busy with bookings for servicing and repairs. Please book early to avoid disappointment. Just email us at with your engine details or call 01394 451000 to arrange this. Please note, ideally your boat needs to be towed to our site for the work to be carried out on the engine at our workshop premises.

For small engine servicing & repairs (2-15HP) you can simply drop off your engine outside the chandlery and we will carry out the work for you as soon as possible. There is no need to phone or email ahead. Engines can be dropped off outside the chandlery 10.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday. There is an engine rack outside the chandlery for engine drop-off and collection. Turnaround time for small outboard servicing work is approximately 1-2 weeks.
