12th May 2020 - Update

Outboard Engine Servicing & Repairs
Following the most recent government guidelines on the Covid-19 crisis, we are planning to have our outboard engine workshop operational again from 1st June 2020 - with appropriate social distancing measures in place for our engineering staff (and subject to any update in government advice of course).

So we are now taking bookings for large outboard engine servicing and repairs (20HP or larger), please email us at outboards@seamarknunn.com with your engine details or call 01394 451000 to arrange this. Please note, ideally your boat needs to be towed to our site for the work to be carried out on the engine at our workshop premises.

For small engine servicing & repairs (2-15HP) you can simply drop off your engine outside the chandlery and we will carry out the work for you as soon as possible. Just email us at outboards@seamarknunn.com beforehand to let us know you are coming, there is no need to phone. Engines can be dropped off outside the chandlery 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday. There is an engine rack outside the chandlery for engine drop-off and collection.

When visiting our business, please bear in mind that currently we are not allowing any customers inside the chandlery or workshops. When dealing with any of our staff outside, please maintain at least 2 metres distance at all times.

As per RYA advice, we believe boating, within household groups, to be included in the exercise and outdoor activities permitted and therefore, we hope to see people being able to get out on their boats soon, but please be mindful of others, stay alert keep safe!

28th April 2020 - Update

Dear Customer,
From all the Team at Seamark Nunn, we hope you and your family are keeping safe and well in this most challenging of times. We’ve seen a huge volume of sales going via our website in the past 4 weeks - we thank you for your business and support. We’ve been working hard to process and ship your orders as quickly as possible with the limited number of team members we still have working on-site. Hopefully you’ve not experienced any serious delays in delivery, but all of our delivery partners (Royal Mail, APC, TNT & UPS) have reported huge increases in parcel traffic that they generally only see in the run-up to Christmas!

For the benefit of our local customers, we have now re-introduced our Click & Collect service for those who want to order from our website and collect from outside our chandlery store. This option can be selected at the checkout section of our website; collection of your order is available Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm and is subject to stock availability.

During this very strange last few weeks, we’ve seen some extraordinary spikes in demand for certain products that are not necessarily for marine use! For example Foghorns (for use at 8pm on Thursdays), Emergency Food Rations (in case supermarkets run out of food?), Paint Brushes & Yacht Varnish (for garden furniture) and West System Epoxy (for all those household repair jobs you’ve been meaning to do) and Emergency Dental Treatment Kits (!).

We are still processing and fulfilling online orders with a skeleton staff, some of us are working from home. We may take a little longer to process and dispatch orders, also most carriers and the Royal Mail are experiencing large volumes, but they are doing their best to deliver packages within the advertised time scale, we ask you to bare with us.

24 March 2020 - Update

Dear Customer
Last night the U.K. Prime Minister has declared with immediate effect that non-essential shops now have to close, so Seamark Nunn has followed this advice and is now CLOSED to walk-in customers. However, we are still permitted to continue with online sales and order fulfilment. Our website www.seamarknunn.com is still operating and we are processing and fulfilling online orders with a skeleton staff. We will continue to operating on this basis for as long as we are permitted to and provided it's safe for our staff.

23 March 2020 - Update

Our chandlery is open for business 9.00am - 5.30pm, our staff are here to answer any telephone queries you have and of course, our website is running 24/7. We will be shipping out orders today as usual.
Please be aware that for any customers visiting our store in person, we ask that you stay outside the front entrance and do not enter. We will serve you from the front door to minimise risk to both you and our staff. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but trust you will be supportive of this course of action - please bear with us during this most challenging of times.

Dear Customer,

In these challenging times, I just wanted to reassure you that currently Seamark Nunn is still operating as usual, both in our well-stocked chandlery and online via our website. Our experienced staff are on hand to serve you either in-store or over the phone, to offer the expert advice that our reputation is based on.

All our major suppliers are still operating and we are receiving deliveries of new stock on a daily basis. Similarly, the delivery partners we use are also still operating (albeit they have seen an upsurge in demand) so the delivery of website and telephone orders are so far unaffected.

For those local customers who prefer not to visit our store in person, we are currently offering a free delivery service to IP10, IP11, IP12 and IP5 postcodes, subject to stock availability and a minimum £50 order. We are also happy to carry any products you purchase outside to your vehicle if you prefer not to come inside the chandlery - just phone ahead with your order 01394-451000.

We will continue our mission to offer the best chandlery deals anywhere, backed with our legendary customer service. We are aiming to maintain our usual level of service for the time being, but obviously we will take heed of government advice on the COVID-19 crisis in order to keep our employees as safe as possible.

In the meantime, please stay safe and here's hoping we can all enjoy some rewarding boating this year.
