Burgess Marine Top Gloss is formulated from similar, but harder, resins to those used in Woodsealer. This gives a crystal clear gloss finish if applied over the matt finish of Woodsealer. Burgess Marine Top Gloss is ultra violet stable but does not have UV blockers and so for exteriors should be used over the top of Marine Woodsealer.

Product Usage
For use as a Top Gloss coating over Burgess Woodsealer and Clearsealer
Directions for Use
For internal use Top Gloss must be applied to clean, dry wood. For external use or surfaces exposed to sunlight always use Burgess Marine Woodsealer as a primer before applying Top Gloss. Top Gloss dries very quickly. Air bubbles may not have time to escape and become trapped. To avoid this use a good quality soft dense brush or lint free cloth. Apply thin coats with minimum brushwork. In hot conditions it may be beneficial to dilute Top Gloss with water, about 10% by volume, to slow down drying time. A second coat can be applied after 30 minutes if drying conditions are good low humidity, temperature above 10°C and well ventilated.
Allow to cure for 24 hours before exposing to moisture. If the wood surface is not dry before applying Top Gloss or the surface is wetted before fully cured, Top Gloss will
bleach ie. turn milky. Do not despair, unlike blooming in solvent based varnishes, when conditions permit Top Gloss will dry to a clear finish.
Clean brushes, spills etc. with water before the product dries. Use petrol or thinners to remove dry spots.
